A Day at Brisbane...

Saturday a bunch of us went into Brisbane for the day to hang out. We walked around some of the market place in South Bank and got fruit smoothies. A few of us walked across the bridge into downtown and through the main shopping area on Queens Street. It is lined with all kinds of shopping and cute little outside restaurants. We then walked up to St. Stephens Cathederal, which was beautiful! See below :) We made our way down through the Anzac Square, which is a memorial type garden that has an eternal flame burning in memory of those who served in war. After that, we walked through Central Station (the main train station in the city) and then back across the bridge to South Bank where the beach is. It was a beautiful sunshinny day to tour the city and just relax. Today I went to ICC (International Christian Church) in Brisbane and attened their morning English service. It was a nice church and afterwards we had lunch with some of the people from the church. We went into South Bank again and had coffee and tea with some folks from the church. It was cool to meet some other Aussie's outside of the base. Tonight we leave for Gateway Baptist church in Mt. Gravatt for our speaker series next week with Jim Stier (started YWAM - Brazil). It should be a great week full of lectures! Hope you all have a blessed day :o)
